Eniwetok Atoll, MI
operated on a continuous basis by a three man team in support of the
Meteorological Rocketsonde Network (MRN) and the Air Force Western Test
Range (AFWTR). Three systems are scheduled for launch each week plus
additional launches as required by AFWTR. ESSA personnel perform tracking
and data reduction functions. A total of 38 AN/PWN-6A systems were launched
during the period 1 July thru 11 November 1967.
